I lost my heart. Help me find it please. I don’t know how, or when. But somewhere, ‘tween the late night and the early make believe. I was alone. And my mind was at ease. Then that bump in the dark, Somewhere ‘tween the late night and the early make believe. At night by myself, awaiting the moon. The angel of your smile found me tempted too soon. My minds eye was wandering, back and forth to. Thoughts of past loves, when I should be thinking of you. Sweetheart. For your forgiveness I plead. With our love as your guide, I ask you on this night to believe. I will not deceive you, my heart and soul are pure. It’s my imagination, that’s in need of a cure. Thoughts can often ramble, and sometimes allure. In times of desire, my heart for you is sure. If we should part. And forget what was to be. I will spend my life somewhere, ‘Tween the late night, and the early make believe.

There's dishes in the sink. Washing on the line. Ain't worked since September. Got a springtime bride. Most folks don't do nothing. They don't give much thought. There's not tellin', when nothing's all you've got. Throw some coins in the jukebox. Play those "Tumblin' Dice." Call up my sweetheart; Won't be 'round tonight. There ain't much doin' In this old rusty town The hours pass like weeks and the days just hang around. It's funny, but when some folk die What they leave behind. They give back their souls But they've taken all your time Most folks don't do nothing. They don't give much thought. There's not tellin', when nothing's all you've got.

Can’t bring you no liquor, I ain’t got no job. Why you always asking? Mamma you know these times are hard. If I had me a bottle, you know what’s mine is yours. Can’t fix your porch darlin’, we ain’t got no yard. So why you always askin’? You know these times are hard. If I had me a tool box, I build ya brand new house. Can’t race your motor mamma, we ain’t got no car. Why you always askin’? You know these times are hard. Our flats need fixin’, an’ we ain’t goin’ nowhere.

Bury me not, Hurry me not. Lay me alone, when I die. Sing me to sleep, and tell me your dreams. Lay me alone, when I die. Weary friend, Come rest your bones. Lay me alone, when I die. Senorita please, make up my bed. Lay me alone, when I die. This old life, Of sorrow and greed. Lay me alone, when I die. One hundred years, of nights filled with rain. Lay me alone, when I die. No one but God, To answer my prayers. Lay me alone, when I die. Saddle my horse, and wish me God speed. Lay me alone, when I die. Bury me not, Hurry me not. Lay me alone, when I die.

Lord my baby got some red shoes on, Silk stockings and a satin gown. But my baby don’t pay that no mind, ‘Cause my baby looks so fine. Lord my baby got some auburn hair, Ruby lips, and such a flare. She got legs that go from here to over there, But my baby don’t mind. Well me and my baby we like to go, steppin’ out. Dancing and drinking and laughing and singing and carryin’ on. When we go out it’s always a good time, And my baby looks fine. I love the way that she folds my cloths. The way she looks in my Mustang Ford. But my baby don’t pay that no mind, ‘Cause my baby, lord she is mine. You know my baby, she’s real wise. So don’t get cute boys, you’ll be in for a surprise. You know my baby don’t even look at other guys, She don’t pay them no mind. When were out walkin’ all other couples, stop and stare. Gazin’ and gawkin’ and shoutin’ and screamin’, “How unfair!” A goddess like that is so rare, But she don’t pay that no mind. Sometimes she’s glib, and talks small talk, But she ain’t foolin’ when she walks the walk. She’s major league, she don’t balk, It’s first class or no way at all. Well my baby she’s not here or there. And she may seem like she don’t care. I’ll tell you what boys and you can say you heard it here, Lord my babe does mind. Ain’t been no woman that ain’t never cared the way she looked. And always tried to look her best and act real fine. So when she says that she don’t mind, Then you know that she is lyin’. You may think my opinion’s askew, And you may claim that I got altered views. But I tell you what I’ve seen firsthand, You gotta believe what I’m tellin’ you man. Don’t get me wrong my gal is out of sight! I’m just warnin’ you in case she might, Tell you wrong when you know that you’re right. You better pay her some mind, You better pay her some mind.

We were close, like mother to child. You changed the rules. Then after a while. You changed your mind. That's fine, too. You've taken my heart. Why not pride too? All that I ask, is all I will do. You can't change time, when sorrow you choose. How many nights alone do I spend, crying in the dark, dreaming of you? How many hearts were broken, many tears were shed in the name of love. In the name of love.

I have seen the fortunes of glory. I have seen the riches of fame. There are no coffers as filled as high, As the ones in Jesus’ name. As the ones in Jesus’ name. Jesus he walked on the water, For those who didn’t believe. And cast a stone, among all sinners, Sayin, “ I beg your pardon please.” “I beg your pardon please.” When the Lord, calls out my name, His sweet pure voice do I hear. He guides me away from my own worst fears, And forgives me of all of my blame. He forgives me of all of my blame. He wanted to know the answer, To find out if it’s true. Would he die, for all our sins? And give us life a-new. And give us life a-new. You’ve got a friend in Jesus. You’ve just got to believe. Take it from the point of a sinner man, Whose sentenced has been reprieved. Whose sentenced has been reprieved.

She doesn’t love me. She say, “I love him.” But that’s what you get when you love tonic and gin. You should know better. Than to, fall in love, With someone, who loves lovin’ itself. Didn’t you listen? To what your momma said. “If I catch you with that kind of woman, you’re better off dead!” That’s the kind of lady, Who’ll make trouble for you. And leave you, cryin’ one day. She’s the kind of lady, who sneaks off at night, And doesn’t come back until the dawn. Then when you ask her, where in the hell she been! She tell you, “I ain’t done nothing wrong.” She’s nothing but trouble. You listen hear. For whiskey and a song, you can take her anywhere. Be on the lookout. When you, fall in love. For someone who loves lovin’ itself. A love like ours is so hard to relate, It's better just to stay away. Sooner or later it goes from bad to worse, But baby, it's never O.K. She’s nothing but trouble. You listen hear. For whiskey and a song, you can take her anywhere. Be on the lookout. When you, fall in love. For someone who loves lovin’ itself.

about

Chris & JP Reali had been performing together for quite some time before they made this record in early February 2005. Tom Kaelin co-owned a studio in Brooklyn, so that's why they chose Blue Dot. All three musicians grew up in the same town, and had performed together at various times.

This album has never been "officially" released to the public, until now!
